Writing up my packing list for Paris, as I occasionally let out a cough, and would immediately steal a piece of coconut dark chocolate right after. A cold just one day before departing for Paris, it couldn’t have come at a better time.
At times when I’m feeling unwell and indulging in chocolate at the same time, takes me back to my post-surgery in 3rd grade.
Mom is feeding me pieces of decadent chocolate, as I look up at her blankly and waiting to feel better again.
Me: I want to have rice.
Mom: But you just had a surgery, so that won’t be a good idea.
Me: But how come that man lying beside me is having rice?
Mom: …

Made coffee macarons w/ coffee ganache filling on Saturday night. The feeling you get when you succeed in something after numerous attempts is.. indescribable. After 10 tries on the macaron, I can finally say that my macarons are up to my standards. I’m happy.
